This is a powerful message. I think it’s a reminder we all need, to slow down and enjoy life. We can’t all be Super Woman, we don’t need to be. As long as we’re the best version of ourselves that’s enough. Take time to enjoy every step of life. As my great-grandmother used to say “everything is temporary.” My mom later in life brought it to my attention that it doesn’t just apply to the bad times in life, it applies to the good times as well. That’s what sticks with me and reminds me that sometimes it’s okay to say no to others and sometimes it’s okay to enjoy a messy day at home in PJ’s all day. We all need down time and as sisters, friends, daughters, mommies, girlfriend, fiancée, or wife we need to take time for us. It’s not selfish and it’s not guilty, it’s healthy and it’s necessary.
