There are many reasons I love rainy days like today.
They bring back carefree childhood memories
of jumping in puddles
constructing gutter sail boats,
and sliding in the mud.
But the biggest reason I love the rain,
is that on days like today
I don’t feel guilt.
I don’t feel guilt if I decide to stay in my pj’s all day.
I don’t feel guilt for not going out in public.
I don’t feel guilt for eating an entire bag of Doritos.
I don’t feel guilt if I decide to curl up on the couch and cuddle with the TV on for oh lets just say 8 hours straight.
And, as many of you know,
in the life of a Momma
we’ll take a guilt-free day anytime we get it.
