Little Miss Momma

grow

We’ve Aquired a New Family Member

November 20, 2011

His name is Troy.
He’s 5 years old.
He was supposed to be a tea cup Yorkie,
but once he grew up,
he turned out to be more of a “crock-pot Yorkie”.
He was my Momma’s,
but now he’s Lil W’s…
Because every boy needs a pup.

New furry family member additions are the best! They will be the best of pals. I have a maltese named Pixie. She is the sweetest craziest pup ever and is pretty darn cute too. She makes an appearance in this post on my blog if you want to see what she looks like —> http://cgconfessions1.blogspot.com/2011/09/simple-things.html

    🙂 Have a wonderful day!

My Yorkie is a crock-pot size also. She is the perfect size for our family. Yorkies this size seem to me to have much better dispositions and are better with kids than the smaller ones. I love the picture!

This is precious. When I dated Chad my sole criteria for marriage ( ok maybe not total he was pretty hot) but I would always think, “what type of dad will he be to my daughter?” I knew I would have a girl. We did. Matilda. He’s an amazing father. We are both blessed women.

Haha–crock pot yorkie! That is funny. As first I read that as “crack pot” yorkie, and I was like, “Oh, wow. Maybe the dog is a little nuts and that’s why Ashley’s mom is passing him along.” Ha. Took me a couple reads to get that the dog is fortunately not a drug addict 🙂

I haven’t had a pet in a very long, time. I have a 10 month old little boy, and I am sure the day will come probably sooner than later when he will want a puppy. Kinda dreading it. Its nice not to have the responsibility. Glad you are embracing it. I hope I will too.

There is nothing sweeter than a boy and his dog!! I adore seeing my dog Izzy, a little lhasapoo, kissing my newborn and playing fetch with my toddler! They are each other’s first friends. I adore my dog for teaching my little man how to share, be gentle, and give hugs and kisses to cheer me up!

I'm gonna say it. This is my FAVORITE homemade salsa recipe ever—and I'm a bit of a salsa snob. Not only is it so easy to make, but it’s also soooo yummy!!! My family and I have been making and enjoying this salsa for years now, and I would say we’ve finally perfected the recipe! It's modeled after @thepioneerwoman recipe, but I've adjusted a couple things to our liking over the years 🍅 The complete recipe is on my blog (link in profile). Let me know if you give it a try!

While Emily and Lacey were working on their sweet dance moves and making us laugh, Danielle, Amanda and I sat on the deck at dusk and played one emotional song after the other, taking turns sharing our favorites, each of us feeling all the feels. Do you ever do this? Crave a release through music? Gravitate toward lyrics and harmonies that capture the sentiments, gratitude, heaviness, and longing in your soul when you struggle to find your own words? I do this (usually alone). But I must say, there’s something extra special about sharing this vulnerable space and release with women who make you feel safe, know your heart and are willing to be honest with their emotions around you.

Let me know if I should compile a playlist of our “moody” songs and share🖤 and tell me what songs i need to add to my list!
