    Little Miss Momma

I'm Ashley. Sometimes I craft, occasionally I cook, everyday I write, and I'm always Momma. This is my blog. I keep it real while still seeing the rainbows and butterflies in all of life's lessons.

    • You’ve gotta nourish to flourish because you cannot pour from an empty cup my friends. This was my mantra of 2018 and now it spills into 2019 as I’m working to expand and nourish the areas of my wellness that I’ve been setting aside. You would think that filling our own cup would come so naturally and easily, but that has not always been my experience. It’s takes energy and effort and a plan. And I’ve realized that i have become the person in my own life who i most easily break a commitment with. What if we kept all the promises we made ourselves? What would that look like for our lives? In 2019, i hope to find out 🙏
    • Today Stevie discovered her love for bagels and cream cheese. It was a good day. 📷: @chandlermadeco (aka Stevie’s bestie) #stevielynnstock
    • About 2 months ago i was reading @thenester newest book looking for inspiration for our home. I felt stuck and overwhelmed about where to begin when “reinventing” the vibe of our decor. @thenester suggests clearing ALL decor and accessories from your rooms and walls so that you can have a blank slate with nothing distracting you from seeing your new vision. So i listened, and now I’ve been staring at blank walls and shelves for 2 months 😂 My friend @cassaundrahull gave me homework to start by gathering the items in my home i already know bring me joy. Now what @cassaundrahull? 😂
    • Vision Board Live video will be up for 24 hours over in @breatheandbloomessentials, if you miss the window, message me and I’ll send you the link. 🌿 Don’t pour you energy into the “perfect”, most beautifully designed board. Instead, pour your energy into determining exactly what you want out of 2019—what are you committed to making happen for yourself this year? Vision boards should be designed to serve two purposes—motivate and inspire. And i believe these are two COMPLETELY different things. I explain the difference in the video, i take you through an exercise i hope will provide you with some direction when determining your goals, and i walk you through my vision board layout with some practical tips for creating a board that SERVES you. This is your year friends!
    • To my kiddos:
I won’t always be perfect in your eyes.
I will most certainly fail you.
Again. And again.
One day I will become a memory of all the ways you’ll do things differently with your children.
The expressions on my face in my ugliest moments will be burned in your mind, replaying at pivotal experiences in your life

And while this fact breaks my heart, I get it now. I see that its all part of this whole motherhood gig—I get to be the hero and the bad guy of your story.
Until you begin to write your own parenting story, and then you’ll get it too.
And then you’ll see for yourself, that my failures were part of your most important life lessons. My weaknesses became your strengths. My love became your courage.
I hope you’ll remember that I let you see me fail.
I hope you’ll remember me apologizing when I let you down.
I hope you’ll remember me in the front row of every moment in your life.
I hope you’ll remember me praying over you. Cuddling you. Holding you close.
I hope you felt propped up in your weakest moments.
I hope you felt encouraged and loved and seen.
I hope you know that while I’m an imperfect mother, my love for you was always perfect.
And that my greatest joy has been and will always be being you momma.

Love, Mom (repost from May 2018)
