Silhouette Portrait Giveaway

Yep, I’m still taking my break from blogging this month, but as already promised I’m here to share an incredible giveaway with all of you in celebration of Thanksgiving and Black Friday week.   This is the first of two exciting posts. In this post, you will have the chance to WIN the brand new Silhouette Portrait. And in the second post (going up first thing on Black Friday) you will be given an insanely HUGE discount code to purchase your very own Silhouette Cameo OR Silhouette Portrait. To be sure you get one this holiday season, you’re going to want send your loved ones here on Black Friday (at midnight EST) to see just how BIG this discount is going to be.  I’ll even give you the discount code in advance, because I’m cool like that.  Code: LMM

I just got the Silhouette Portrait in the mail and I am so excited about the fun features and portability that this more compact model has to offer. The Silhouette Portrait has the same motor as the Cameo but is smaller (with a 8.5×11″ surface space)and weighs only 3.5 Lbs making it easily portable. It is able to resize designs from 1/4″ to 8″ in width and up to 10 feet long. The Portrait can cut all the same types of materials that the CAMEO can (including all Silhouette branded materials) and includes a cutting mat that will accept Letter (8.5 in x 11 in) and A4 sized sheet goods. Like the CAMEO, the portrait has an optical scanner so it can be used with a home printer to create print & cut projects. It is compatible with both Mac and PC and includes Silhouette Studio® software—allowing users to create their own designs and cut the fonts already installed on their computers.

Check out this video to see what the Portrait is all about.

CLICK HERE to my latest project made using my Silhouette machines.
And click HERE to see my favorite Fall Silhouette project.

For a chance to win your very own Silhouette Portrait, simply leave a comment telling me about the first project you would make with your new craft cutting machine.

For a second chance to win, either facebook or tweet about this giveaway with a link to this post.

Please leave a separate comment for each entry option you complete.

*The winner will be announced on Black Friday (at midnight EST), when I also announce the HUGE Silhouette discount.

I think they’re letters give it an extra personal touch but I wouldn’t be able to do it with out the silhouette because I’d have to do it by has and it wouldn’t look nearly as good. I hope I win this, but even if I don’t, thank you for doing this giveaway. You’ll certainly be helping someone this holiday season save some money they can spend on someone or something else. There are so many things I would like to do. I have been watching the Silhouette for years, but could never afford it. I have some health issues and my hand shakes, so the first thing I would do are wood blocks that have different 4/5 letter words on all sides, so depending on the day you can change it: for example: Noel* (that is a snowflake or star), Love*, Snow*, Jesus, Peace and Jolly.

I would love to win this Silhouette because my little boys and I LOVE to make greeting cards and other art projects for our family far away, place them in beautiful packages, and mail them off. We think it really brightens someone’s day when they receive a cheery package in the mail with a sweet sentiment ‘just because’. Right now, we use a lot of scrapbook paper and paper cutters, but the three of us would be OVER THE MOON if we won a Silhouette because it means we could take our ‘cheer spreading’ projects to the very next level! We live roughly 700 miles away from our family (and I’m a single mom!) so it’s a very important part of every week for us to let people know we are thinking about them in a beautiful way. Our recipients would be so grateful and impressed with our new projects if we won! (Especially grandma!) Thanks so much for the opportunity!

I would affix the bible verse right above our entry way in the foyer of our New Home we will be moving into this February. So that our children will always read and see our family verse above the door and be reminded of God’s Greatest Love as they walk out into the world. That’s the first thing I would do…

I have this crazy idea to do on a wall that is just screaming for Jane Austen. We have an open area, which will be MINE, I say. It has lots of wall space, and it needs to be filled up. So, maybe sayings from Jane Austen’s novels, but definitely will do some pillows with a Jane Austen era. So many ideas of what I could do with a “Cameo” ……and a new house just ready for it, too.

There are so many amazing projects to make on this machine. Do I have to start with just one? Hmmm… I’ve been eyeing up a blank spot on my wall that’s just dying for a little vinyl saying. I also need to make something for my son’s bathroom walls, they’re too blank. There are lables to make and cards to cut. Oh my… too many options.

This has topped my Christmas/birthday wish lists for the past several years, so it would be such a blessing to finally have one! I’m so excited about all these chances to win and thank you for the opportunity. My first project would be quilts for my daughters, made from my mother’s clothing. Mom died 2 years ago and was very close my children (her only grandchildren). I thought this would be a good way to preserve her memory and give them a part of her to hold on to. I don’t want them to ever forget her. The Silhouette would be perfect for cutting out the various shapes. Fingers crossed & thanks again!
