Mod Podge Wall Art: display kiddos artwork

Mod Podge DIY

Lil W and I started Mommy & Me preschool. And with preschool, came art projects. Art projects that make a Momma proud. I decided I needed a cute way to display the precious pieces I bring home each week. I also mentioned how I am slowly but surely re-doing Lil W’s room. Primary colors. Cars. Trucks. Balls. All things Boy.  So I thought this project would be the perfect way to hang up his goodies in his room–once my fridge iscompletely covered, that is. 3 wooden {…Read More…}

A Peek at the Kitchen in Our New Place

Hooray, the kitchen is unpacked. Not quite shabby chic, not quite urban farmhouse, not quite french bistro–so we’re going with Chateau Chic. And I don’t really think that’s an actual design term, but it seems to work for this space. We work with what we have {and often what has been given to us}, so that usually means you will find a combination of styles and themes within my decor.  Next room to finish up…the craft room/office. Stay tuned, as we go room by room.

Spring Cleaning in Fall

No your eyes are not deceiving you. Yes, this blog is currently all jumbled and pure craziness. And that’s because we’re doing a bit of Spring Cleaning. VERY soon WE{when I say “we”, I really mean she, and when I say she I really mean Shay of Dumplin Design Studios} will have some minor crisp new changes to show y’all! Stay tuned, can’t wait!

Burlap and Vinyl Calendar and Menu Board

Burlap and Vinyl Calendar and Menu Board Remember Staker Sensations? Staker Sensations is the rad vinyl Etsy shop I told you about when I made “the Naughty Spot“. Well, Staker Sensations also sent me a super cool calendar decal so I could whip up a fun project. I headed over to Joann’s where I picked up a poster frame {they are currently 50% OFF}!!!  Then I pulled out some burlap, some extra scrap booking alphabet stickers and I got to work creating my Calendar and Menu {…Read More…}

Shelf Design

Living Room Shelf Makeover {re-design} This has been on my “to do list” for months now. When winter ended I knew my shelves needed a punch of springtime color–but the addition of a high maintenance rugrat in our home put those plans on hold. Last night, I was reading one of my favorite blogs–the Pleated Poppy.  And she lives in my dream home–all the custom finishes, furniture selection, paint color and wall decor–I am IN LOVE with all of her choices! After reading the Lindsey’s post about redesigning her {…Read More…}

Let’s Get Organized, Shall We

PART I {the embarrassing part} You know when you’ve been out of town for a while, and then you get back and you feel like your life {and home} have turned into complete chaos during your absence? Well that’s exactly how I felt after getting home from: Where our family welcomed back my hubby’s parents from their 3 year LDS church mission in Leeds, England. We had such an incredible time with our family. Baby W had a blast with his older cousins. He spent the entire {…Read More…}

Professionsal Organizer Needed

*Disclaimer*: This post will not portray me in an admirable light. In no way is this a DIY post, in fact, it is a DDIY {don’t do it yourself} post. When I was pregnant with Lil-dub I went through that infamous nesting faze.  I dusted every surface and hard to reach place in my home, I threw out clothes and knick-knacks I had been holding onto since high school, I organized all my drawers and closets, I even mopped under my fridge and cleaned out {…Read More…}
